Therapy for the people who think differently, feel deeply, and want more from the work.

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Mountlake Terrace, Washington, working with neurodivergent adults, people in transition, and the geek and gaming community — both in traditional therapy and through tabletop roleplaying games.

Adam Johns, MA, LMFT

Good therapy meets you where you actually are — not where a treatment manual assumes you should be.

My practice is built around people whose minds, interests, and life circumstances haven't been well served by conventional approaches. The work is grounded, collaborative, and shaped to fit you.

How I Work

About Adam

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than a decade of experience at the intersection of gaming culture and therapeutic practice. I'm co-founder of Game to Grow, a nonprofit that pioneered the use of tabletop roleplaying games for therapeutic and educational growth, and co-author of Therapeutically Applied Role-Playing Games: The Game to Grow Method (Routledge, 2023).

My practice specializes in neurodivergent individuals, adults navigating major transitions, and the geek and gaming community. I'm a gamer myself, and I bring both clinical expertise and genuine enthusiasm to the work.
